Fall is one of my favorite times to take photos, there is so much color and vibrance, the resulting images can be overwhelming. I met the Ziehmers in Grand Ledge to take their fall family photos photos, the weather cooperated much better than our previous outing. “C” was being very energetic and we had to take some time between shots to let him get some energy out.

This lead to some of my favorite pictures this day, the picture of him running away through the leaves, the one of him hugging his mom, and the one of him swinging between his mom and dad after they caught the little escapee!

I always enjoy taking candid portraits, the emotion you get is so much more natural, and it allows the subjects to relax. In this setting “C” just wanted to run and explore his new surroundings, I was happy to capture these great moments! If anyone has a chance to go to Fitzgerald Park in the fall I highly recommend it, the colors are absolutely stunning! Let me know what you think of the photos in the comments below!
